“The science of government it is my duty to study, more than all other sciences; the arts of legislation and administration and negotiation ought to take the place of, indeed exclude, in a manner, all other arts. I must study politics and war, that our sons may have liberty to study mathematics and philosophy. Our sons ought to study mathematics and philosophy, geography, natural history and naval architecture, navigation, commerce and agriculture in order to give their children a right to study painting, poetry, music, architecture, statuary, tapestry and porcelain.” -- John Adams (founding father)

Criteria:
Be able to...
- extend love beyond your own immediate circle (to see that the needs of others in the community are just as important as your own needs: physical, psychological, as well as social & emotional needs)
- leave behind the old ways of thinking and doing things (if the world societies' ways and thinking are leading us toward catastrophe, it is insanity to repeat them)
- cultivate self-restraint (complete freedom leads to anarchy and savage law of the jungle. On the other hand, complete law and order leads to tyranny where there's no freedom of expression. A community that is in harmony is one in which there is a modicum of liberty and a modicum of rules of law. The rules in the community serve as guide rail to help you restraint your impulse so as to not trespass upon other's personal boundary.)
- understand that having children is a commitment, not only to the child but to the community also. When you bring a life into the community, you are taking the responsibility to nurture and mold that child to grow up to become a responsible and participating member of the community.
(A child is like a tree you've planted. If you do not invest the time to prune and mold the tree it will grow wild and unstructured. An adult who've grown up without guidance will lack self-restraint and lack connection to the community, he/she becomes the seed of destruction of that community. Just take a look at our inner city schools, they are filled with vandalism, graffiti, school shooting and stabbing. Just look under the desks and they are filled with gums. These are behaviors indicative of children that lack self-restraint and lack connection to their community. They do not value nor respect community lives and properties. If they are this destructive while young, how much more destructive are they as adults?)
- forgive others in your community and not seek punitive retribution. (None of us are perfect, we all make mistake sometime. When you forgive and help enlighten others to recognize the error of their trespass, you have contributed to bringing harmony and peace to the environment you live in. Just look at the consequences of our modern society that is built upon a punitive retribution system. We are over taxed to maintain the ever expanding prison, court and police systems. The more we spend on those systems, the less we have for the education system, leading to more under-educated population who become criminals in the next generation. )
- continually strive to cultivate intelligent, spirituality/love, and wisdom through self directed learning and knowledge sharing inter-action with people in the community.
- tolerate and respect people of different faith, for many paths lead to the same Creator. However, because this community will be built upon a foundation of love, it will NOT accept using "practicing one's faith/custom/culture" as an excuse for animal sacrifice, nor as an excuse to deny women & men equal rights, equal voices and equal respect. In other words, do not shed innocent blood in what ever form, and do not promote iniquities while hiding behind "practice of faith or practice of cultures, etc."
- be comfortable with being touchy feely with others in the community. (Every indigenous group around the world that lives in harmony has a similar trait. They all physically touch each others, look at the way they form circle dance and hold hands. Now look at the way modern people dance... they form a grid as if there is an invisible cube surrounding them, each person is cut off from others).
- be respectful of members who practiced various forms of free love, including community orgy. Community orgy is a form of sharing one's affection & body. Sharing is caring. Caring unify, motivate, build connection and trust between members of the community. It is also an excellent way of revealing, exposing, and filtering out violent & selfish people who try to infiltrate the community; because violent & selfish people by their nature don't like to share. Thus, they will not want to stay in any community where they have to share. They practice domination & exclusive possession of people. That is why they walk around saying things like; this is "my woman" or this is "my man". By their nature, violent & selfish people like to create drama, make accusations, sow discord and conflicts that tear a community apart. For example, violent & selfish men like to fight over a woman instead of sharing. And vice versa, violent & selfish women like to fight over a man instead of sharing. In their fights to posses exclusively another human being, they make accusations, create drama and disharmony.
"But the wicked are like the tossing sea, which cannot rest, whose waves cast up mire and mud." -- Isaiah 57:20
